 The Board of Directors of Sundiata African American Cultural Association (SAACA) invites you to get ready for our  30th Annual Festival Sundiata.

FESTIVAL SUNDIATA CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY
 

 

Seattle Center on June 12 & 13th, 2010 (Black Music Month) with our traditional African/African American food, entertainment, and cultural events as part of the program. This year we are proud to announce the addition of Zimfest to the festival, celebrating the life and commemorating the 10th anniversary of the passing of revered Zimbabwean musician, Dumisani Maraire. 206 Zulu (Universal Zulu Nation) celebrates its 6th year with the festival, bringing all-ages, capacity-crowd entertainment showcasing Hip Hop culture. A number of community partners will join us in this 30th Anniversary Celebration.
 

Board President Roberto Jourdan explains further, “2010 is going to be an amazing year for Festival Sundiata, with the changes that are on the horizon. The addition of Zimfest into the Festival Sundiata family takes us to a higher level, more artists, more energy and their vast experience in sharing an African Cultural experience.  What a trifecta Sundiata, Zulu and Zimfest partnering in the same festival!”
